What FRP gives an elevation

  • Shapes concrete can't easily give you

Curves, facets, deep relief, flutes and lobed arches come straight out of the mould, with no formwork on site.

  • Every repeat identical

One mould makes every column, corbel or panel in a run, so a whole building's worth matches.

  • Light on the structure

Thin shells hang on brackets and subframes, not on heavy supports, which helps on refurbishments and upper floors.

  • Colour built in

Gelcoat carries the colour, matched to your shade-card reference, so elements arrive finished.

Four things to plan early

Settled at the drawing stage, these keep FRP elements trouble-free for the life of the building.

Structure
FRP columns, arches and cornices are decorative. Loads go through the RCC or steel behind them, which your engineer designs.
Fire
FRP is combustible. For facades on tall or public buildings, tell us the fire requirements first so the resin system is chosen for them, or consider GRC.
Movement
FRP expands with heat more than masonry. Long runs get movement joints, and fixings allow for it.
Fixing
Brackets, subframes and inserts are designed with the piece, so tell us what each element fixes to.

Questions from architects and builders

Can you work from our architectural drawings?

Yes. We prepare shop drawings from your elevations and details, with each element's sizes, joints and fixings, and send them for your approval before anything is moulded.

Can we see a sample before production?

Ask us when you send the drawings. On larger jobs, a sample piece is a good way to approve the profile and finish before the full run is made.

Can FRP match stone, timber or metal?

Painted finishes can give a stone-like, timber-like or metallic look. For a stone-like material with a cement finish, our sister division makes GRC.

Do you work with contractors on large sites?

Yes. We work alongside the main contractor, agreeing fixing details, delivery sequence and access before installation.
